Travelling through the dusty Argentina, today we arrived by a windy local road, surrounded by thistle trees, to the pulperia San Gervasio. This road (route 50) links the cities of Azul, Tapalque and our last destination Campodonico, where the pulperia is situated.
The pulperia exists since 1855 and served by the time as a restfull place for the soldiers, worked as a place to find daily products and news that the passing people bring by the way.
The place still has the same, walls, doors, floor, “rejas”, entrance, and surroundings.
Edgar and Anibal Toso are the brothers that has been working in the pulperia since 1955, they told us a bit about how it works this place nowdays.
Later, we registered some images and read the “Libreto para el Bicentenario” (fragments of the book of William Bulfin/Irish writer), Julieta the daughter in low of Edgar, three years old, observed us and understood some words as: pampa, San Pedro, Buenos Aires.
We are quiet and the calmless of the place invited us to enjoy a fresh drink (hespiridina and mirinda) in the middle of the rural landscape.Campodonico was an old trein station (actually not in use).
